This article presents the research results of the first stage of the work we have raised in the study of engraved art of the archaeological site known as Angosto de Ocumazo, located in the Quebrada de Calete, Dept. of Humahuaca, Jujuy province. As From a film and photographic survey and the development of a work methodology on the images obtained in the field, we discuss the value of digital treatment of the latter in the process of information construction. The applied methodology was based on the utilization of three programs: VLC Media Player, Photoshop and Illustrator and on the interdisciplinary exchange between archaeologists and art historians of the research team. The theoretical framework adopted, thus gathered contributions of both disciplines that opened a significant amount of issues that will be adressed in future research.
