This article analyzes the polysemic content of the images that some Colombian sex workers place on their Facebook profiles, a network that also serves as a platform for their "business" of having sex with clients who are protagonists of the violence and armed conflict in Colombia. Since this was research performed over several years, the theoretical analysis will be focused on the change of bodies and identities that they displayed throughout that time. The analysis will also be focused on discussing the authority of ethnographic knowledge, because the images display a territory of social and symbolic relations that remains hidden to the ethnographer's eyes.
