This article is based on an ethnographic research about identity on poor-young women, made in an outlying neighbourhood in La Plata, Buenos Aires province. The field-work has been done using a video-camera as a research tool. The author, with a sociological degree, explains the reasons and the contributions of this approach. She describes how the work was developed and then, she gives her reflections. In this way, she asserts how this particular experience allows learn to film during the field-work.
