Always focusing on the ethnographic experience as an instance of encounter with an otherness, we would like to explore the specificity of the audiovisual image as a technological support for the construction of knowledge in anthropology. We will note that like written text, a documentary is a "constructed look" and as such, its proper reading and interpretation can provide us with valuable information about what we hope to represent from a given culture.
