The pioneering documentary of Rituais and Festas Bororo of Luiz Thomas Reis (1916) opens a rich panorama that focalizaed, in a systematic way, miracles, parties, pilgrimages and diverse rituals of popular religiousness in the cinematographic production. The Coqueiros's Holy one (Ramon Garcia, 1930), Visão de Juazeiro (Eduardo Escorel, 1970), Santa Cruz (João Moreira Go out For Them, 2000) are titles that form a part of this stage. Between the documentation and the documentary, the production of cinema and video has today, with the development of the visual anthropology, new perspectives.
