The growth of the city centres in general and, in particular, Brasilian ones, triggered an urban development that at times is presented as chaotic and unruly. Such growth is both the cause and the consequence of the current existing complexity. The city of Curitiba, located in the south of Brazil, may be placed in this wide context. The urban reality, complex and chaotic in many ways, may conceal many kinds of social relationships. This being the case, the aim of this article is to draw attention to a specific collective normally diluted in the urban landscape of Curitiba: the workers of the XV de Novembro street. These lines do not attempt to analyse this reality at a deep level, but instead reflect on the topic with the reader/observer with the photographic language as a basis.
