Based on the specific case of the detention, disappearance and subsequent murder of Guillermo Rivera Fúquene, and political activism of his daughter, Shaira Rivera Gallo, this work focuses on the detained-disappeared as an element of the political performance of their families.The emotions, bodily practices and performances become new political strategies in which public space is a vital and unique. The figure of the detained-disappeared becomes part of new policy strategies and practices in a context of social criticism, impunity and forgetting.
