Audiovisual constructions in the Atacama desert. (community videos versus open television).
The use of appropriate methodologies to analyze the images and contents of audiovisual productions is one of the main obstacles for those interested in this topic. Through this work we try to contribute with a form of work that can open a space of dialogue between audiovisual directors and anthropologists, in a society where audiovisual content is constituted every day as a powerful tool for cultural penetration.
The research deals with the comparative analysis between the audiovisual construction of a chapter of the television program "Tierra Adentro", exhibited by Televisión Nacional de Chile; and a video made by two community members from the Atacama town of Caspana, within the framework of an audiovisual training project.
