The objective of this article is to analyze the representations of a family of migrants on their album of portraits and the meaning they acquire when they are exhibited in places of prominence in the domestic space, becoming possessing an aspect of consecration and misticity. The history of the family is accompanied in its move from Irecê, city of the Bahian interior, towards the metropolis of São Paulo, through the portraits of the album, which show not only the representation of the family in this migration of customs, habits and values, but also the migration of the look for goods and marks of social rise in the new urban environment, which are recorded through photography and thus characterize this family history.
