"To that side there everything is haunted": memory, narrative, fantastic space and the environmental issue.
Developed from the thesis of mastery " Una Isla Embrujada in the City: ethnographic study on the daily one and collective memory from the narratives of the former inhabitants of Isla Grande de Los Marineros, Porto Alegre ", this work relieves some questions as for the relation among collective, narrative memory and fantastic space in reference to Parque Estadual de Jacuí, environmental reserve that comprehend the territory of the islands of Porto Alegre, the capital of the State of Rio Grande do Sul / Brazil. Across the narratives of "haunted" places, reported by the inhabitants of the islands, seeks to investigate the meanings attributed to these spaces, which, having being left by the inhabitants who changed for regions denser filled with the archipelago or with the continent, are spaces where the transfigurations of the landscape are more visible with the cycle of rise of the rivers.
