The following work corresponds to the results of the doctoral thesis of the author about the audio-visual material produced by Luiz Thomaz Reis, photographer and cinematograph of the Commission Rondon initiated in 1912 in the Matto Grosso. There is realized a crossed analysis between the texts written by Reis to the General Rondon and the movies and photography produced by himself about indigenous groups of Brazil.
