The place of dreadlocks in the adaptation process of the Rastafarian culture into the chilean reality.
Through an intense process of creation and cultural exchange, Rastafarian Movement has successfully adapted to the Chilean reality, mostly because of the new meanings that have been given to some of their constituent elements. This works, which information is based on a fieldwork fulfilled between the years 2007 and 2009, seeks to discuss on the adaptation and integration process of images and artistic expressions of the original movement, through the study of dreadlocks; one of the most representative and central images of the aesthetic and ritual universe of Rastafarian culture.
