Critical theory in visual anthropology.
In the context of the content symbolically produced and the way in which interventions are made towards a specific population, the mass media play a determining role. It is necessary, then, to work on the analysis and denaturalization of these contents in the practices and self-definitions of the individuals who, living in different conditions, rework these representations and redefine new practices.
In this framework, the integration of image into scientific methodology is translated. The discursive constructs the visible, to which it brings a new identity of an epistemological type: the image contains and deploys fully a quota of knowledge, at the same time as the visibility assumed by the image, incorporates, materializes iconologically the concept, to which he brings the dimension of sensitive aesthetic information.
