Photographs of indigenous bodies and the erotic look. preliminary reflections on some cases of the southern rim.
Photographs of indigenous bodies are a global practice of intercultural representation. In this essay, a preliminary approximation is made to this complex phenomenon of diverse uses and readings, since these supposedly ethnological or anthropological images, are characterized because they hide an erotic reading, in a period (1880-1920) markedly repressive of sexual manifestations.
