Video and anthropological research.
Since its invention, images have been used in different ways. Both as research tools in cultural phenomena, or as an instrument for the illustration and dissemination of research. Videographic praxis requires methodological proposals that can go beyond the simple use of animated images as a recording tool. For this reason, based on our experiences and imaging analysis, we try to reflect on the specificities, potentialities and, above all, to provide some methodological and epistemological considerations regarding the use of videographics in field research. As a result, we raise certain uncomfortable phenomena of these encounters and disagreements between video and anthropological research.
