CLACPI: A story that is about to celebrate 30 years of existence.
The authoress make a brief story across the configuration of the current Coordinadora Latinoamericana de Cine y Comunicación de los Pueblos Indígenas (CLACPI) from its beginnings. It is like this that, by the hand of the anthropologists and audiovisualists, we began a festival with the intention of showcasing the audio-visual productions made by indigenous people. Soon after, the festival incorporates the experiences lived by the own indigenous in the audio-visual accomplishment carried out across diverse experiences of technological transfer. At present, both the festival and CLACPI's general coordination, is led by indigenous communicators, there being fulfilled this way the principal aim raised from his origins by this organization: the self-determination of the indigenous peoples.
