Photographs of de Military Goverment of Comodoro Rivadavia (1944-1955): images of Juan Domingo Perón.
This article shows the advances in the process of research on the photographic collection of the period of the Military Government of Comodoro Rivadavia (1944-1955) that we are carrying out. We start from considering the photographs as our central source. The approach to the photographic material arises from the tasks of conditioning, preservation and conservation of the same.
Based on contributions from Ernesto Laclau’s Theory of Hegemony and considerations by Jaques Rancière, we approach the political process of the Military Government. While the questions that arise from the analysis of the photographs point to a diversity of senses, in this case we focus on the place of the image of Juan Domingo Perón in a selection of the photographic corpus.
