Representing orphanhood: photography and visibility precarious bodies.
This paper analyzes the representations and production process that Cecilia Larrabure developed in photographic project Ciertos Vacíos, one in which portrayed some of the orphaned survivors of Peru's internal war. Initially we commented some of the most iconic photographs of the project (the same images that have become a symbol of the period of political violence); then, we describe the context and history that these images were produced. So, we are interested in exposing how photography is one interpolating device by which not only citizenship is granted to the invisibles subjects, but also enables reflection about the family and structural orphanage these precarious bodies.
