Elicitación fotográfica y confinamiento migrante: reflexiones sobre habitar la cuarentena en dos territorios.

This work is part of the ethnographic investigation about the migratory network of women, Mujeres con Voz Valencia, a feminist, anti-racist and decolonial collective that works to break the stereotypes and violence that fall on migrant and racialized women in Spain. This paper will reflect on three pieces from the photographic series “Quarantine Subtitles” (2020), virtually performed with the group during the lockdown to glimpse, through the prism of Visual Anthropology, the class, race, and gender power relations within their experiences, and their migrant realities and gazes, not considered a priority during the confinement in Spain.
