Travesía intermedial por Última Esperanza y la cueva del Milodón. Fotografías de Martin Gusinde en retrospectiva.

The article proposes an exercise of historical and symbolic reconstruction, by intertwining two independent media products: a part of Martin Gusinde's second travel diary written in Última Esperanza in February 1920 and the unpublished photographs of the territory that he took during his stay with the Eberhard family and excursions to the Milodón cave. The photographs are analyzed from a medial approach in their articulations and imbrications with their writings. The travel diary, as well as the unpublished photographs taken in situ, are part of the Anthropos Institut (Germany) archive. In the reconstruction process of a retrospective of the visual journey carried out by Gusinde a century ago, the support of mountain guides was include.
